Windows/Linux Release Test
Here is the new setup for Egoboo 2.8.0. I haven't announced any development release yet because I haven't had the possibility to test the installer on another pc. And also I do not have the Linux package up there yet.
If any other windows users could test it out that would be great. I think there might be problems because the Application Data folder doesn't exist as default.
Download Egoboo 2.8.0 Development release:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/egoboo ... e/download
P.S seems the download is now a whopping 120 mb!

Testing it...
EDIT: Just tested out Zippy with the default adventurer. I don't care for the arrow key controls, the smoke particles are all messed up, and for once the game speed isn't all screwed up! But for some reason, loading times are ten times what they used to be (in 2.7.4 and older).

- You can change the controls yourself. Those that come with the game are just the default controls.
- Some particle issues is a known bug. Coins also don't work for example.
- Loading times might be increased because of the GOR I think. But I haven't noticed any increase in loading times myself... I did do a profiling on it and 90% of the time is loading of the module objects.
---------
Also, the Linux version is now here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/egoboo/ ... z/download
But as penguinflyer5234 mentioned, it's the same as the SVN... A macintosh dmg release however, has to be done by a mac user. And who knows if the mac version isn't broken (anyone still using mac - excluding benurban?)
